Using well-worn, naturally faded denim as the base, vintage indigo-dyed fabric is layered over it and hand-stitched with Sashiko, one stitch at a time. Originally developed as a method of reinforcement, the Sashiko stitching adds distinctive texture and depth to the fabric.
It combines the Japanese tradition of repairing and continuing to use worn garments with the natural fading and wear that develops in denim over time.
