This jacket is a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Japanese hanten, featuring contemporary materials.
It is made from a lightweight and durable ripstop fabric, with sakiori (rag weaving) patches on the collar and cuffs. Sakiori is a traditional Japanese再生織物 (recycled textile) made by tearing old cloth into thin strips and reweaving them. Sashiko stitching is then added by hand to create a three-dimensional texture.
