*One & Only This pair of shoes features sashiko stitching on deadstock training shoes issued to the Czechoslovakian military in the 1970s. Vintage Japanese fabric is hand-sewn onto thick canvas material.
The contractor is NOVESTA, based in Partizanske, Slovakia. They are one of the few sneaker manufacturers that still use the vulcanization method. The thickness of the rubber sole and the design of the sole are distinctive, and the hiking man, a familiar feature of NOVESTA, is drawn on the bottom.
An indigo-dyed round string is included as a replacement string.
