One & Only This pair of shoes is made from deadstock training shoes that were supplied to the Czechoslovakian military in the 1970s, enhanced with indigo dyeing and traditional Japanese sashiko stitching. The thick canvas material is reinforced by hand-sewn vintage Japanese fabric.
Note on Indigo-Dyed Products When exposed to water or during washing, yellowish residue may appear. However, this does not affect the quality of the product. As you wear and wash the shoes, the residue will fade, and the color will become more vibrant.
The contractor for this product is NOVESTA, a company based in Partizánske, Slovakia. NOVESTA is one of the few sneaker manufacturers that continues to use the vulcanization method. The thick rubber sole and its design are distinctive, featuring NOVESTA’s signature hiker illustration on the bottom.
The shoes come with additional round indigo-dyed laces.
