Tajika Noriaki Snips [TSUME]

Crafted in Ono City, located northwest of Kobe, a region renowned since the Muromachi period for its fine metalwork. The Tajika Haruo Scissors Workshop has been operating in Ono for four generations since the early Showa era. These nigiri scissors, made by Noriaki, represent the pinnacle of craftsmanship with their rare tsuke-hagane (forged steel) construction — a hallmark of top-quality Japanese scissors.

There are many types of nigiri scissors. In general, the Kanto region favors the tsume (claw-shaped) style, while the Kansai region prefers longer blades. This pair is the tsume type, characterized by its compact blade length, making it ideal for precision work and detailed cutting.
