This is a soft cotton sashiko thread. The black color is used in the traditional Japanese formal wear, black montsuki. The unique dyeing technique of "Kyoto Montsuki" called "deep black processing" makes it even blacker than usual, achieving the ultimate black color. After the black dyeing process, it is further processed with deep black processing and dried in the sun to make the black color stand out even more.
